This is my first Transformation Tuesday so I've decided to share my own story. These two pictures are almost 1 year apart and I can’t even begin to describe how much I have changed both physically and mentally. In the picture on the left, I was about 12 pounds heavier, insecure with my body because I wasn’t fitting into my clothes anymore, and would wear baggy shirts so I could hide my weight gain. I wasn’t motivated to workout consistently, I had horrible eating habits, and suffered from chronic headaches and stomach aches. I had a negative attitude, placed blame on everything and everyone except myself, and took no action to try and change my mind or my body because it was too hard and too overwhelming.
In February, after months of trying to lose weight on my own, I decided to invest in the 21 Day Fix. Over the last 8 months, I have made it a priority to learn about nutrition and incorporate exercise into my daily life. Sticking to a clean diet has given me more energy, better focus, makes me happier, and has completely eliminated my headaches and stomach aches (which I discovered were connected to my bad eating habits). In the picture on the right, I am a happier, healthier, more positive, and overall better version of myself from 1 year ago. This transformation happened because I decided to make a change. I didn’t like the way I looked or the way I was treating my body. It took a lot of hard work and I struggled to get to this point but I’m so thankful for pushing past my excuses and staying consistent with my health and fitness routine.
